ESCAPE Migraines
October 20th 2006 02:55
I fell asleep on the couch last night. Which was really a STUPID thing to do - I got a bad nights sleep and my neck feels out of alignment. I still don't have a headache, but if this neck pain continues, I'm worried it will spark something.
I usually start a cluster or a migraine with a neck ache.
I was reading yesterday that there is a trial on for the hole-in-the-heart issue website is http://www.escapemigraines.com
They say:
ESCAPE (Effect of Septal Closure of Atrial PFO on Events of Migraine with Premere™) is a new clinical trial that studies the link between a heart condition called PFO and the incidence of migraines. PFO, or patent foramen ovale, is a heart defect that forms when a small hole between the right and left upper chambers of the heart (atria) don' t close in infancy. About 25% of all adults have a PFO, but for most people it does not cause serious health problems.
No good for me out here in Australia, but other sufferers might be interested.
