Migraine yesterday... :(

October 24th 2006 08:35
Not having had a migraine for a while now (over a month!) I've forgotten how bad they are. I had college all weekend and now all this week as well.

When I got home, the lingering pain at the back of my neck that I've had since Friday exploded. All down the top of the neck area, and a swear I could feel my atlas bone sticking out - I can't feel it today, so there definitely is a difference.

I'm guessing the organic milk chocolate I had, combined with PMT had something to do with it. I've been getting better on the chocolate front, able to have a bit here and there - but maybe not in combination with other triggers.

I guess I keep hoping I'm better, and things are going to get back to some kind of normal.

Although some days, I think I've forgotten what "normal" is.

Hello

I also get migraines, evil little things aren't they? How long do yours tend to last? I find the only thing that helps to go to bed which of course is completely disruptive to life.

Hope you feel better soon,

Tracy

I hope you're feeling better most of your days. I know the feeling, I've been a migraine sufferer myself, for days.
Then I somehow managed to have it out of my way for years.

Lately, it has recurred occasionally. what else, but from stress and lack of sleep.

Take care.

Hi Tracy - mine can last anything from a day to a week. I've had cluster headaches last up to 4 weeks. I also call these "shoot me now" headaches.

Thanks for your well wishes.

Thanks Tel - yes they do have a habit or recurring, dont' they? You think that just maybe you have moved on from them, and that's when they start to sneak back.

It's hard to remain ever vigilant for triggers - life's too short.

That's true Julia. At least I've gotten rid of the days of pain. Now, it occurs occasionally, almost a day at worse, when I internalize stress too much or from lack of sleep.

Take care.
